World Blood Donor Day with the Red Cross

World Blood Donor Day is held every year on June 14th. The goal of World Blood Donor Day is to raise awareness around the world of the need for safe blood and blood products for transfusion and the importance of free voluntary blood donation to national health systems. The Stroitegia collective could not pass by and take part in the action together with the Belarusian Red Cross Society under the slogan “Donate blood, let life pulsate in the world!”.

In the office of the Red Cross, a blood donation point was organized, where, under the supervision of doctors, it was possible to donate blood free of charge. After donating blood once, you can save as many as three lives!

Donation must be approached responsibly, taking into account contraindications. All candidates went through a whole training algorithm, both independently and in a medical institution:

- check in;

- laboratory examination: determination of hemoglobin level and blood group;

- examination and interview with a doctor.

And only after all the procedures, the candidate can become a blood donor.
